Dr. Dipak Viradia is a Chest Physician & Intensivist, Interventional Pulmonologist and ECMO Specialist, and the founder of Rudrax Chest Clinic, Surat, an advanced specialty clinic dedicated to respiratory and allergic disorders.

Coming from a humble background, Dr. Viradia completed his schooling in Surat and went on to earn his MBBS from Baroda Medical College, where he also obtained his Diploma in Chest Diseases. Driven by a desire to keep learning, he pursued his DNB and Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, one of India’s respected medical institutions.

With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Viradia combines expertise in three closely linked fields: chest medicine, critical care and interventional pulmonology. This allows him to care for patients across the full journey of lung disease, from everyday problems like allergy, asthma and chronic cough to complex diagnoses and life-threatening respiratory failure needing ICU care, ventilator support or ECMO.

Achievements and Expertise

Pioneer in Interventional Pulmonology in South Gujarat. Dr. Viradia established a dedicated interventional pulmonology unit, described as the first of its kind in South Gujarat. It brings advanced, minimally invasive lung procedures to patients who earlier had to travel to larger cities.

Advanced Bronchoscopic Procedures. He performs a wide range of advanced procedures, including EBUS and radial-probe EBUS, bronchoscopic lung cryobiopsy, transbronchial biopsy, rigid bronchoscopy with tumour debulking, balloon bronchoplasty and balloon tracheoplasty, tracheal stent placement, flexi-rigid pleuroscopy, foreign body removal and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL).

Complex Airway Cases. Dr. Viradia has successfully treated patients with severe airway narrowing using balloon tracheoplasty and tracheal stenting, helping patients who were struggling to breathe recover and, in some cases, come off oxygen and ventilator support.

Critical Care and ECMO Expertise. As a trained intensivist and ECMO specialist, he manages critically ill patients with ARDS, sepsis, severe pneumonia and acute lung injury, offering advanced organ support when conventional treatment is not enough.
